the 550 motor will be kinda slow
being fiberglass will make it more durable and you will want to put something bigger in it motor wise
it is someplace to start as long as you know you will want to modifie it or know more what to look for in your second boat
STAY AWAY FROM SALT WATER it will screw to many things up
