Different heat! Due to the fact the 4-stroke does not fire on every revolution the plug needs to be hotter. Also the F is longer than the 8.

Use an OS #F in your 4-strokes and an OS #8 in your 2-strokes and you can't go wrong.

I wouldn't use the 2-stroke plug in a 4-stroke engine, it would probably be too short and too cold.
