Sorry but the OS 8 is not good for all engines. All Engines have a particular heat range that they enjoy better than others. Not all engines operate in the same Heat Range. Experimentation is the only way to find optimum performance.
I realise this and I know it was a generalisation. I also know that there are many different types of glow plugs with different heat ranges, lengths, idle bar/no idle bar etc. The different heat range also either advances or retards the ignition.
The OS #8 is a general purpose all-round sport plug. If you are using either high nitro or very low nitro then you may want to look at different plugs. YMMV.
My statement and yes maybe I should have been a little more clear, was that in everday general sport flying with
most modern engines, using 10-15% nitro the OS #8 is a good place to start.
