The gr8 thing about forums is that even if the thread is 2 years old or older, if someone posts to it, it becomes new again... and folks who have posted to it earlier come back and read it, just like you did. I read the post policies and there are no expiration dates on threads: I suppose if there were, the threads would be archived or deleted. And I did read you post... EXCELLENT! In my humble sailing adventures I have met Hobie Alter and the whole Alter family, Ted Turner, Bill Beuthin, the late and beloved Carlton Tucker and many, many weekend warriors on beach cats, J 24's, Solings, Sunfish and Lasers. I've participated in the Hobie 16 Worlds placing 48th out of 240 teams in the world. I was also 8th out of 10 in the Alter Cup. Kind of an IROC for sailboats.
