Default RE: Micro and Mini servos what to use

I just got the Triton 2 and the two NIMH packs. can't wait to put the model together. I heard that to the car battery can be used by adding a cigarette lighter adapter plug. If I could have returned the E-flight Brushed ECD I bought with the plane for $40 I would have upgraded to the brushless motor and a Li-po pack right away. The Li-po pack at that battery place isn't much more expensive than the two NIMH packs are.
As far as the NIMH are they as good as Nicads or better. I heard that Nicads give a greater burst of power but Nimh hold more charge don't know if this is true.
Any good links for Brushless ECD's for the motor you suggested with a 11.1 volt 1500mah Li-po pack.

Have you heard of anyone taking a old power supply out of an older unwanted computer and modify it as a 12volt power supply. I was thinking about that as I have a couple of old computers in the garage.
