"Shared" or "Integrated" graphics of any sort usually equal crap performance with graphically intensive sims like G3, FS One, Reflex, Phoenix, AFPD, etc... (did I get them all? ;-) )

Is a "Dimension 3000" one of those compact boxes with no expansion options once it's configured? The age of a machine isn't as much of a factor as to how it was built in the first place. I've got a 3 year-old Dell box that was set up for video editing, has plenty of expansion room, and ran G3 quite happily... until I was given a new Intel based Mac for work...
