i would take the motor out its a whole lot better because you have more room just make sure you get the gear mesh perfect once you put it back in a easier way to do this is to take off the upper plate that is the whole plastic piece that the fuel tank mounts to once you take it off you can see the gears alot better so it helps more with the gear mesh
