Straight builds... the Edge does come in lighter based on reports.

As you know from the Yak thread... there's a lot that can be done to lighten the Yak... a decent amount without CF...

I don't think you'd be disappointed with either based on your goal... but the Edge would seemingly give you a lighter wingloading. I haven't flown or seen flown the Lanier Edge (my buddy in Ohio has one but I never got to the field with him)... but he seemed to like it O.K.
