I guess I could have sandwhiched them in between the top of the battery box but it still would not have been completely waterproof. I would have to cut either way..I was going to add some black silicone and finish the hole up. It looked really good though and to charge is very easy.. That was my whole point of having the cable come out of the battery box. You can also see the wires are all hidden underneath the servo tray.
