i dont really think so because i was on the hpi web site and they have the speed they can go at and the mt2 goes 40 mph and the all the old savages are 40-30mph and the new savage is 45mph and so is the mt2 18ss

if ur running a single speed mt2 ss
and the savage comes with a stock 2 WHICH CAN BE UPGRADED TO A 3 SPEED
the savage will blow the mt2
