RE: What do you have your conversion in???
my conversion has generated a lot of positive and negative feedback lol. the engine is a CRRC Pro GF45i. it used to be a spark ignition engine. but as you can see from the photos ive converted it to run methanol and a glow plug. fuel is straight methanol/synthetic oil at 40:1. the carb has had no internal work other than removal of the filter screen and reseting of the needle valve arm. it is methanol compatable out of the box.
the adaptor is one that i machined up myself. i also know of another of these engines that has been converted as well....i sold him one of my adaptors!!!. performance is great...pulls like a train and a rock steady idle. it runs a 20x8 bolly carbon prop at 7800rpm all day everyday. it develops just over 12kg's of static thrust. airframe weighs 8kg's. we've worked out its making around 5.5hp in its current configuration.
airframe is a Pro Built Extra 300SP. 84" wingspan. it also has a smoke system installed. the whole package flies like a dream although im still learning with it lol.
cheers
