RE: Neck Strap or not?
Since the late 1970's as a kid I've only hand held the transmitter but two years ago I began using the strap in the middle of the summer when it was really hot to keep myself from risking a transmitter drop with sweaty hands. I've never gone back to anything but the neck strap. I'd probably like to get a tray too, I might like that even better. I'm a thumb only pilot, I tried the index finger and thumb technique but was not patient enough to learn the skill, it appears it might be better for precision work though. I don't fly 3D, that is the only area I believe thumb only would be superior.
