I would like to try and convert one of these. I need some help from some people in the know. First off I'm doing this for a friend in the club to see if I can save him some money. What is the best way to convert one of these? Buy a new chainsaw? Buy a shortblock? Where is the best place to buy these? I was wanting to use a C & H Ignition. Would it be cheaper to do this, or just buy a Brillelli 50cc Echo conversion? What all is done in the conversion? Any port timing changes, carb. size, or any other mods from stock? What is the process for the prop-hub adaptor for this engine? I will probably use a Brillelli muffler, or is there one better than this? I have all tools to make all the parts. Just want to know if it is worth the trouble. Thank you for all of your help!
