Default RE: RC multihulls?

Hi Martin! -

I can only tell you about my own experience:

Please do NOT - I repeat: DO NOT - build your hulls as single shells with ply decks!!!
Definitely!!!
The rounded decks are a mandatory prerequiste for high speed sailing!!!

If you make flat decks, this will cut the sailing- and speed-performance of you trimaran down to 50 %!!!
Yes, indeed - this is what will happen!!!

No matter, if you are sailing in flat or choppy waters - if you want to sail your boat 'on-the-edge',
the bows of the hulls - sometimes all three of them - will be submerged sometimes. -
And these rounded decks are the ONLY chance you have, to get them THROUGH the water and out again; -
- without flipping the boat over -and simply keep on sailing!!!

With flat decks the boat won't recover itself from being submerged!!!

I can only tell you as frankly as I can - and as a real friend, that you shouldn`t sapotage your own intentions of a good trimaran by being too lazy to build SIX precise and lightweight shells!!! -

In fact, from my own experienced point of view I need to tell you:
If you aren't willing to build it the way I'm trying to teach you,
IT ISEN'T WORTH IT, TO START THE BUILDING AT ALL!!!

You will be disappointed to the bones!
Just because the flat deck hulls will fail right at the point, where the REAL multihull-fun should begin!!!

DO IT RIGHT - OR DON'T DO IT!!!

Look at this pic of the ORIGINAL NIGHTMARE 'Code RED'!!!
The bows are submerged as a gust hits the boat -
but the boat keeps up the speed AND comes out again -
-...- and just keeps on sailing at it's high speed. -

A flat-deck boat gets STUCK in the water, while the wind keeps on pushing.
The boats stops, like it had blockbrakes and just flips over -no chance, to cure that -
except rounded - sixshell building!!!
