Hey Guy's... Well I finally got to removing the 82 from the "Do" No real obvious path for
all that mess, crank cover and engine looks to be in great shape, exhaust, heads, valve
covers and timing area shows no real signs that the leak is coming from there and the
crank, bearing inside is as clean as being new, no rust or excessive play and the intake
was tight and o-rings look great as with all screws/bolts.... It did look like some leakage
from the prop cone?? Looked at Horizon for a gasket for the crank cover but none is
used for the 82/72. I'm wondering if the 65/91 would fit?? Most likely not... I may just cut
one, or use gasket sealant when I reinstall.... But then again maybe not......
The YS 63 will not quite fit in the exsisting mounting holes, same with the hyde mount
and I'll have to move the throttle cable for the YS... So that looks to be out of the
picture for now..... I have a lot of rags though.......
Still a slight bit under the weather, can't quite kick it completely, so I have not been
flying and it was the first time in the garage to work on the "Do"... Yesterday and today
was a no wind day since X-mas... It made it hard to not go to the field this morning......
