Default Ducted Fan Mod

Ok, so after being pissed off because I keep losing bearings, breaking shafts, bending gears, breaking props, having the motor shaft break, and losing silicone tubing all on the tail motor, I've decided to do the ducted fan mod. I'm just learning to fly, so what would everyone's recommendation be on this? Is it a power loss or a power gain? Also how does the weight affect performance/stability? I understand I'm supposed to just attach it to the rear and just solder on the wires as if it were the stock motor? I'll be getting this: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...p?&I=LXHHN9&P= because I don't plan on going lipo. Here is what I'll be doing: http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t303804p1/
Comments please.
