OK, thanks for that guys, I'll follow the break in procedure as stated in the manual.

Regarding the problem I'm having, is it likely that its just due to the engine not being broken in fully?

EDIT: OK i just read bruce's post properly. It sounds like its a combination of that and also low end being too rich.
