Default Thrust-Reverser?

Is eliminating residual thrust in our models a good idea?

Out jets are so heavily loaded that one needs some thrust to keep it flying, so the 1 lb or less is actually good to have during landing. The planes I fly have flaps/speedbrakes and they seem to work well for their intended purpose. Having no thust at idle by use of such a device will force you to use less flaps (good and bad) and if you have to go around, now you have remember to turn it off before applying throttle....now I know in my field I DO NOT have the time to do that and would rather come in with SOME throttle to keep the turbine ready for a go around!!! just a thought!!
