FYI, when Skymaster re-did the Gripen ARF+ they moved the mains forward about 1 1/2 inch. From the videos I've seen it seems to take off fine. I haven't flown mine yet. Along with being 2# lighter it should be a much better plane.
Anton should have learned from that experience. If the Rafale has main gears in the scale position it will probably take off similar to the original SM Gripen.
