Do you really think your engine happy to run on such a stuff?.
Ugo, Well, I didn't think it would be a problem. I understand your theoretical point of view. However my experience says that the engine is fine running fuel without ether. I'm using 40 or 50 SAE weight lubricants. One engine has about 90 minutes of runtime on etherless fuel. Please also consider the D-star engines which run on JP-8 (essentially kerosene) and 0.03% lubricant. The .54 two stroke produces 1.3HP at 14,000 RPM and has shown a lifetime of 70 hours or more. I have done very little with etherless fuel in two strokes but Treven has flown 4-5 gallons of 5% ether mix in a two stroke without problems.
Will, Thanks for the idea. I was going to go with something a bit more complex like what is used in the Ryobi four stroke. That would be much simpler for this though. I have plenty of sacraficial four strokes for the engine Gods. But I'm still looking for a good deal on a Magnum 1.20 or 1.80.
