RE: Question for Excelleron 90 owners
I have the Excelleron 90 powered with a Saito 1.25 and it is simply the most gorgeous plane i have ever flown!
The flying i do is mainly sport, but i am learning knife edge flying and low inverted too...
Only problem is one of the control horns on the elevator cracked at the base... the resultant flutter broke the stab away from the fuse (the wood fractured) and the stab was tilted at about 30degress... I still had control and was able to land the plane. Repairs have been made but i am still yet to re-fly it... bit nervous actually.
I ended up buying another plane called the Surpass 90 which is the same as the Fliton Infinity 90 (or so it seems) and intend to power it with a Saito 100.
However i intend to follow this thread as the introduction of a Excelleron replacement is something that i think i would definately buy.
My only question is; why discontinue the E90? It is such a brilliant model with no real vices... how are they going to make it better?
regards
Mike
