We're also working on additional info for help support for transmitter editing.
Actually, if you press the 'I' key when flying, you'll see an "inset" view of the aircraft. However, this only works for 3D flying sites (not Pano sites).

I know about the "I" key, but it doesn't help me because I prefer the look of the Pano fields. I'm rolling the plane over to near where I'm standing to check the transmitter functions which is OK because I don't need to do it more then once a session, but it would be nice if it wasn't necessary. The airplane window in the transmitter editing screen would work fine for me, as I don't care about seeing an inflight closeup.
