Plasma bags are not legal under AMA rules, and I sure do need their insurance policy, as I live in NYC and the nearest desert where I can make smoking holes at my leisure without hitting a parked car or busload of nuns is a thirty-hour drive away, so plasma bags are out.
I wonder if colostomy bags are legal? How convenent would THAT be!
I like the idea of the Gary Muller kevlar-wrapped coke bottle. It would make me feel better than a plain bottle.
I just bought two dubro tanks, a 50 and a 20, and that will do for my current project.
I understand that some of the hotspots and kangaroos and isobars and mallomars, all those ugly-ass planes, have their formers precut to take soda bottles, and it may be a proven and convenient setup for those models. With the engine hanging out on top, though, I think the chance of fire is probably a lot less than most scale models, where the engine is inside the fuselage behind the tanks.
