Does anyone know how one would go about replacing the wire for the receiver antenna?

Here is what I have found thus far - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXERH8&P=7 and I am hoping that this will work by soldering/splicing it with what remains inside the receiver box.

Thing is originally I had problems smoothing the wire up into the mast, and snapped a little off of it and now that my mast has snapped I think it would be easiest if possible to just replace the antenna wire all together along with a new mast.
