Thanks guys. I'm going to be building a Zirolli 1/5 Zero and want to use a scale size 3 blade prop from Solo. At 1/5 scale a prop would be 22-24" depending on model, no problem for an 80cc engine, which is what I have in mind.
The Ziroli Zero is ~1/4.5 scale, and the prop should be about 26" in diameter for scale, though a 24" prop wouldn't look bad. I use a G62 with a torquemaster belt drive at 1.75/1 reduction to turn a 26" 3 blade solo prop at about 4000 rpm and 18-20" of pitch
This is what I'm interested in. Would you recomend the G-62/reduction set up or a bigger engine without reduction? 3W lists a 24 X 10 as an acceptable 3 blade for the 80Xi. Money wise it's about the same and as all scale Zeros need a significant amount of lead in the nose for balance, weight is not an issue. Really going for the cool factor without hurting performance.
