Its model specific, so if you change the parameter menu to PPM in say your glider with a cheap hitec reciever, and switch to the model memory for your big Extra 300 thats got a fancy PCM reciever the transmitter will change modes. What you will need to do is turn the power off and back on to complete the change. You will see the new modulation type flashing till you cycle the power.
