I mounted my amplifier in the angled section of the forward frame on the stacked frame...the part that has the 1/4"x1"x1" plate. When I was running a GY-501 gyro I made a mounting plate approx 2"x 3" and put both amplifiers there. The strong box should be fine, but I like the convience of the location I used...really easy to make adjustments and setup...plus it looks great...nice and sano installation. By the way...you will love the governer, just make sure all your engine adjustments are done with the governer OFF because it will try to mask the problem by compensating fir increase of decrease rpms.
