Thanks for your account on the real plane...sounded like lots of fun.
I wonder if this model's airfoil will be based on the real one. I really find it
disappointing that some model manufacturers do not list airfoil types as this
is a big decision factor in purchasing any airplane. For example,
I do not want another "semi" or "quassi" symmetrical airplane and you
really can't tell form pictures what you are getting. I wish more of these
manufacturers would take pics of the wing from the tip, giving us a good
profile of the airfoil.
Anyway, it seems the full scale RV has quite an unusual airfoil type,
with a symmetrical shape almost to the back of the wing on the bottom
where it starts to actually bend up, then downwards...pretty nifty!
