Terrible news: Spaceshuttle Columbia is gone
A tribute to them all:
More than glowing debris was shining overhead
As it passed over earth onlookers had said
There were many trails of light streaking through the sky
Already tears flowing from their eyes
Men and women who took to flight
Having no knowledge of day turning to night
They may have passed on to life's end
But never will their flight come to an end
In our minds they will remain
And to a higher adventure they have attained
Shining brightly is what we all have seen
More will come again to fulfill their dream
Bringing home answers to help mankind
They have taken their place for all time
I offer this as a small tribute to the men and women who lost their lives on this day.
