Default RE: Echo CS3900

Here is what I think. [ul][*] 1 Find a brand that will be around and has been around..so parts will be availible.[*] 2 Sell with option of any ignition a person may want. Price = extra cost of that ignition.[*] 3 Keep the weight as light as possible. [*] 4 If the mouting system is small arms on back of crankcase...make sure of strength.[*] 5 Make sure carb is the right one for the cc of engine.[*] 6 Get a lot of input to want the buyers want for cc sizes[*] 7 Consider the use of combinding 2 or more brands of parts in same engine. For example maybe a Husky crank assembly and a Echo Piston & cyl assy. Or any other good known parts. This would be possible but would take a lot of research to see what parts is close enough to machine to work with each other.[*] 8 Now the last ...I think a good thread needs to get going and have people post all the known dimensions they can come up with for parts for such a engine. I know this is a long shot...but with enough input maybe it is possible. If nothing else...it would be a good place to have a data collection. I do believe there is several guys out there that know port timing and many of the critical things we need to know.
