I have a FPE 40cc in my SS and it has over a thousand flights. I highly recommend it, reverse the muffler as if you fly in the winter on ice the pipes will hit the ice chunchs and bend or break them. The plane is fantastic. with the 40. I really believe that with a 26 it will work, but not like a 40.
