I just cut the slots, because I had to remove the wheels every time I needed to remove the cowl. Check out my photo gallery and I think you can see the cut out. On the fairing, I removed the covering from the two holes with my soldering iron and made sure the wing was mounted straight and then glued it on the wing with 5 min epoxy. and those 2 plastic black bushings push into the 2 wing holes and the hold the 2 plastic wing screws in pretty tight. I used CA glue when I put in the 2 plastic bushings. This plane flies great, and my MDS .68 is more than enough power. If you need some pics let me know!
