RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36
hi well I did say that the tail rotor turned freely... Now when I hold onto the main rotor and try to turn the tail rotor by hand it moved freely except for a small amount of resistance but not substantial.
I have examined the small drive system attached to the main drive and a small cotter pin as we call them here in the Uk was 50% in/out of the drive; the top drive (v.small driving the belt) was spinning free without much restistance other then rubbber on metal. When I pushed the cotter pin back in 100% the same problem occurred. ie I could still spin the tail while holding the main rotor in check. I bought the 36 from ebay and cannot guarantee that she has not had a tail strike or two and so this might account for the slippage on the belt and the drive. Anway I've resorted to CA to see if this helps If not I will buy a new drive and fit it to see if this conquors my spinning tail.
I will reset dips as above to see what effect it has
Thank again guys
George
