Karl, Welcome to the thread! Lots of good reading!
I had the same experience with the boom strike just this week. I cracked the boom and so I just wrapped the area with poly fishing line and then covered that with thin CA to keep it all in place. This worked really well. My opinion is that with the plastic blades, you are going to break anything that has less strength. Unfortunately, that would be the tail boom!
I am glad to hear another Yeah for the G-90. I plan on upgrading tomorrow when I get my allowance! LOL

I finally finished reading through this thread!
I've been flying my BCPP for about a month now.
I can hover fairly good.
Learned with Radd's
I just had my first boom strike the other day. The Plasti-blades hit the boom pretty hard and cracked it. I can still fly with the boom until I figure out how to mount the Ti tubing that I have for the tail boom. With that, I should have no more worries about the tail breaking.
I'm trying to get rid of all the little quirks that this heli has. The TX seems to be a pretty big hinderance as well as the stock gyro. I just upgraded the gyro today to the G90. What a difference!!
I am looking at the Spektrum DX6 to replace my existing radio. What are people's experiences with this TX/RX. Easy to set up? Durable, etc...?
Well, that should do for the first post. I've been lurking long enough I should post sooner or later
