If your not gonna be racing, the traxxas nitro sport or rustler are great beginner trucks.
As someone who's not a beginner and owns a Rustler, I'd say look elsewhere. I've worked with friends on their Team Associated and Losi ST's and they are much easier to work on. The rustler is not terribly difficult, but it's just not laid out as logically.
