does it have a flat stab or is it air foiled
HI they have a very thin airfoil same as the wings so if the motor stops the plane will not fly far.

Huh?

The horizontal stab is a standard 2% flat balsa airfoil, but the main wings utilize a symetrical thin cross section naca0012 (or is it naca0010?) airfoil.

These thinner wings have lower parasitic drag in flight, and actually HELP the plane to keep speed up. The thinness of the wings makes the plane fly further, due to the lesser drag, but the offset is that the wings provide a higher stall point than thicker wings.

Biplanes posess two wing surfaces and a large frontal cross section.

The combined effect of the frontal drag from the multiple surfaces is what slows the plane down NOT the thinner wings. The thinner wings actually help if anything.

As long as you keep up speed the plane WILL "fly far"... and of course the only thing you can trade for speed in a deadstick is altitude...

ANY THING WITH TWO WINGS WILL CAUSE DRAG THIN THICK FAT WING IT DONT MATTER
huh what do you own this plane if not dont chim in with a bs..keep speed up it will fly far lol its not a glidderi have a 46 nitro size & it has flat stabs .I have a 27% & it has not.I built a 33% & is the same as the 27% & now i got a 42% & is the same as my 27%
now go watch my vids im flying in 15 mph winds & see how i fly right stall 60% of the time. That motor stops it means crash.A mono aint the same.
even when this plane is going fast & goes deadstick you aint gunna land it where you wont.turn the plane & she will drop out of the sky.
