Default RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

Where is your reference thrust line? Is it the flat surface under the canopy?

ORIGINAL: badfish

rdb127 gets the yogi button!
I will say the weight was done on 2 digital scales and the scales were verified using a 5lb weight.
so it's pretty close.
these are the areas where I saved some weight.
-wood hatch started at 8.65oz trimmed to 6.5oz = 2+ oz
-canopy trimmed saved 1/4oz
-tail wheel changed to foam saved 1/4oz
-engine mntg. bolts from steel to Ti saved 1+oz
-landing gear and axles to cf and Ti saved 4.5oz
the landing gear is graphtec off of my use to be wild hare extra 28% it's the same size. all I needed to do was drum sand the area where it slides into the fuselage. (big mess) if you plan to do this do it ouside in one of those 1 piece tyvec (?) suites. a dust mask and some gloves. it only took 15 min and came out nice.
the plane balanced nicely, batteries are pretty close to the cg for a 3D setting.
don't know if anyone checked their incidences but mine were off pretty good on the stab.

My Brison did well in 17.5lb- 84" WH. I know it should be great in a 15lb 14oz- 87" BME
