Default RE: Best 100c class engine?

ORIGINAL: soarrich

I got one of the first in the country, mine may be the first to fly. I'm taching 6000rpm with a 26x10, but the engine isn't broken in yet, I've only got one tank 20 oz through it in the backyard, then one flight yesterday before it started snowing. So far I'm very pleased with it, you can't beat the price $775 for the engine with mufflers and electronic igintion, and great service. I spoke with LS and he said they might go to a bigger carb for higher peak HP, but I'm happy now it's pulling my aircraft stooges out of the ground as it is.

Seems odd that you would respond to a thread called "Best 100cc Class Engine?" and recommend an engine you've run less than 30 ounces of fuel through and that no one (in this country) has ever flown...let alone an engine which the importer conceeds doesn't likely have the proper carburettor.

Additionally, the weakest of the previously mentioned engines routinely turns a 28x10 at 6,300+ RPM.

The price is right though. Why not start a thread about the engine and tell us about it there as you break it in and get some hours on it. I'd subscribe and read with intrest.

Good luck!
