I understand that in your description the masking tape is applied span wise to hold pressure on things. However, Intruder is suggesting putting some chordwise to protect the center section from the oozing epoxy. I said why not do both?

Thanks for the input also Jim. You guys are GREAT. I don't seem to use much 5 minute expoxy these days, just personal preference I guess. Sure would make a quick job of holding things together though!
