Default Pattern Plane Identification

I'm hoping someone here can help me identify this plane or at least steer me to the right forum to ask this question. The plane was given to me by a friend. He salvaged it from an old barn and we have no idea how long it was there. I love older aircraft and I would really like to restore this plane to it's former glory.

I need to do some research on engine size, CG, etc..., however, I have absolutely no idea what it is. It's missing the belly pan (or whatever it's called on this type of plane) and I'm guessing I'll have to fabricate one, so if anyone has any pictures of this plane (complete) it would really help.

If it will help, here are some general measurements:
Wingspan: 65"
Length: 62.5" (From firewall to the end of the rudder)
Wing Chord: 17"

It has a fiberglass fuse. The wing is foam core, sheeted and covered.

Thanks!
