Bigboat, first of all, let me take my hat off for you. It's this kind of things what RC is all about (at least for me): learn, share, and have fun. Not only you save a precious weight, you also improve engine performance. It's wonderful!
I'll see if I can get a gas engine once for all. If the engine it's worth the try, I'll try the CDI conversion, I'm really looking to it.

Just a silly question, is this CDI project the same as this (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_34..._7/key_/tm.htm)? (Excuse me, I haven't read the whole thread yet).
