@PilotTiger - You don't need any tape between the layers of your HV-transformer.....if you mean the transformer ON the pcb.
If taking about the HV-transformer for the spark (we call this the bobine), you need between every layer tape.
The best way to finish this transformer (bobine), put the complete coil into polyester to isolate the winds.
@JCaste - NOP, this one and the other (from JMJ) are a little differend.
This cdi have more options and the software can handle the hardware in a better way.
Not everyone can programm a PIC, but with the exel-sheet everyone can make the right table for his engine.
And not forget.......the hardware will be cheaper in this cdi.....16F84 is hard to get and very expencieve.
BTW, this cdi is a *product* from JMJ and me.

Charlie Moore was the one who was using a differend PIC and table, we have optimize this table for every engine and some other options.
