Default 140 Crankshaft question

I'm replacing a bent shaft on a 140FZ (I not II). I dug around in my spares drawer and pulled out a new shaft, part number F1519. Ah ha I thought this matches the part number from the FZ manual but when I remove the bent shaft I find a small difference. All dimensions are identical however the bent shaft has a machined oil hole in the shaft about 1/16" in diameter about 1/4" in front of the worm thread. Air blown throught the hole exits the centre hole in the back of the shaft. Unfortunately the new shaft does not have this feature.

Will the new shaft work in the engine at all, perhaps the hole is critical for the regulator, perhaps it will cause overheating etc?

Advice welcome.

Paul
