For combat? Does Sig still make the Wonder?
A Herr Pitts would be far more work than I'd ever risk for any sort of combat.
I am not planning on doing combat with this plane. I had a 1/2a combat plane, but for next season the clube is going back to SSC. 1/2a was "too dull and slow". We like lots of spatacular carnage when we fly club combat, but still want the speeds down so everyone can participate and have fun.
Thanks for the feedback, I am leaning towards the Pitts right now.
Ptulmer,
I am planning on using micro servos and light battery pack. I have this from keeping the weight down on the 1/2a combat plane.
Dennis,
I am open to scratch building if you know of some plans and where I can get them. My "building" experience to date is several SPAD planes, Twist 40 ARF, Slow Poke Sport kit. I am currently putting together a DAGO Red 60 Arf and a Shrike 10 kit. I am an avid woodworker, so I am comfortable with my building skills. (It is my covering skills that need significant help)
