Got a couple of flights in before my canopy blew off and ended my day. The first couple of tanks were very disappointing. Hover at full throttle with almost no vertical. As I got to my 4th tank the engine started to wake up a bit. Not to mention it was running pig rich and every flight the needles were getting leaned on. Hovering was now taking place at just over 1/2 throttle with ok pull out. I'm running a 3w 19x8 wood and I only tached it on the initial run at 6600rpm. I'm sure it is way over 7k now. I'm going to go ahead and order a 20x8 pt models prop and stick that on there as soon as i go thru this 1.5 gallons of lawnboy ashless mixed at 32:1. I'm running a 12oz tank and flying 10 minutes uses 6oz of fuel. Gonna be alot of flying to use up that 1.5 gallons.

It always seems to spoil things when the canopy goes away--Is it OK?
Thanks for the flight report. Sounds promising--like a good combo. Did you get a weight on the plane with the 40 on it? Can you tell much difference with the increased pound or so of weight?
