I'd love to see the combination in action, and would sure like to fly it. My Brison puts out 21lbs of thrust and the DL is advertised to put out 30lbs. The Brison gives me a 1.8:1 thrust to weight ratio on the Giles and it flies 3D VERY well. The DL would give you close to a 2.6:1 ratio. The highest ratio I've ever flown is on my DA50 equipped Hangar 9 260. Its ratio is 2.3:1 and is phoenominal. The only downside might be that you'd have to go with a 3 blade prop for ground clearance. I'd say go for it. You don't have to fly at full throttle (all the time).

It would open up a lot more options down the road too.
I'm considerring one of these for my Bling. I have a DA in it now but I'd like to use it in an 87in Yak (Ultra RC) I'm building. The Bling is only 13.5lbs and would do just fine with only 30lbs of thrust. The Yak should come in around 15.5lbs.
