The pins should be allen scres just find the right allen wrench and take them out, if I'm thinking of the right thing. As for the reverse, is it worth it well thats up to you on weather it's worth it. It gives you a little more power as there's less rotating mass to get spinning, and less weight overall so your truck gets to handle a little better and accelerates a little faster because of the extra rotating mass and the overall mass to the truck.

But weather it's worth it is up to you, as far as getting into tight spots well dont drive into them tight spots.
