Yes. I can load and run the sim with the default xmitter no problem. Problem is the controls are all nutsed up. But it Will load and run OK. I can select transmitter from the freestyle fly menu. I have copied a tranmitter and re-named it Futaba and have reassigned a few controls. It is during that process, that FSOne either crashes and re-boots my machine or just crashes out to the desktop.
Which model of Futaba transmitter are you using?
Older FP-T6NFK....but why would that matter? The pin-outs were the same for all of the large 5 pin din jacks....right?

It's an older Fut, but that should be OK. If it's like the new ones, it outputs
the channel order just like the Hitec Optic 6 Tx. We have Hitec Optic
6 setups for all the airplanes in FS One. So click on that group, and
then click on the Tx for the airplane you want to fly. The
description then outlines the channel order that you need w/ the real
Tx (i.e. things like one aileron channel or two ailerons, or elevons
or not, etc). If you want to see what the keys do, then click on the
Flight Manual button and look at the 6-ch emu setup.

When you try this out, you'll see that the software radio will do all
the work. Setup your real Tx w/ no dual rates, zero expo, no mixing,
etc. You will not need to edit any of the software radios (i.e. no Tx
Editor stuff involved). Again just pick the Hitec Optic 6 radio.

Let me know if you this gets you going.

(ps Setups for other radios are discussed starting here:

Unfortunately ... there's no general standard for these real radios.
Using the TacCon version is a lot easier because it's all setup from the outset.)
