Default RE: AMA NATs / Dr. Sandy Frank request

Horrace,
I would love to see what Dr. Franks wrote. I do agree that there is a lot of stuff at the Nats that are really not worth being there and run the AMA staff nuts trying to run down all the details for them. I have been the Soaring Nats Event Director the past two years and will agin for the last time in '07, and all the events we run are either FAI or rule book events. But there are those in LSF that think that we should go do our own thing, now, these guys are not part of the current board. I agree with what you wrote above, I can imagine what was written originally. We are lucky that we require relatively early entry time closure and our entry numbers are very well known, unlike many events that the SIG does not know what the entry numbers are till the night before. We could travel in most cases, but in our world, the IAC is considered one of the best soaring sites in the world, so in my book, I would just as soon stay put, and I do live close, so some would consider me a biased judgement.
