Its possible it was the Valvoline. I had a Ford that started using oil around 70k . It was then using about a quart to a 3000 mile change. The only thing I did different was to switch to Castrol from Valvoline , and the oil consumption went to hardly any. Also when draining the Castrol I noticed it had good body to it. Unlike the Valvoline that felt like water. No valvoline for me!!!! Capt,n
